ATM and DEBIT CARD REGULATIONS ARE CHANGING

ACTION IS REQUIRED BY YOU IMMEDIATELY

Effective August 15, 2010, we will no longer pay your ATM and Debit Card Transactions into the overdraft under our Courtesy Pay ("i-check") service, should funds not be available at the time the transaction is received for posting to your account. Due to a change in the regulations you must NOW authorize C-E FCU to provide overdraft protection specifically for your ATM/Debit Card transactions. This process is called "opting in" and requires YOU to contact US and give us that overdraft authorization specifically for ATM and Debit Card transactions. The "i-check" service alone will now only cover checks you write or authorize, ACH and bill pay transactions.

Opting in will ensure that your ATM and Debit Card transactions will be authorized and posted even if the situation arises where there are insufficient funds in your account to cover your purchases. When a situation occurs where an ATM or Debit Card transaction is NSF at the time of posting, if you opt in for overdraft coverage, we will pay those transactions into the overdraft with a $27.50 fee. You have several ways for opting in. ONE, you can respond to the mailout we will be sending to our current card holders in the next few weeks requesting overdraft coverage for these transactions. TWO, you can email us at cefedcu@cefedcu.org or cefedcu@gmail.com and tell us you want to opt in for overdraft coverage on ATM/Debit Card transactions. THREE you can call us at 877-669-2328, ext. 628 or 626 (leave a message that you want to opt in for ATM/Debit Card overdraft coverage if we are unable to answer your call immediately).

These new regulations go into effect very soon. Please take action immediately to ensure that your ATM and Debit Card purchases continue to be authorized and paid on your account without problems.
